An accomplished clinical psychologist, Mabel Yum holds dual registration as a psychologist in both Hong Kong and Singapore, with extensive experience across diverse mental health settings. She holds a particular interest in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, insomnia, stress management and relaxation therapy, psychosis, weight management, and the cultivation of mental wellness and resilience.

Championing mental health through comprehensive care and specialised programs

As the previous Head of Psychology and lead psychologist for the Weight Management program at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Mabel has been instrumental in providing psychological consultation for individuals with a range of emotional, psychological as well as medical conditions.

Expert in evidence-based therapeutic interventions

Mabel places emphasis on holding space for her clients to explore their challenges and working collaboratively with them towards their therapeutic goals. While she has a vast amount of clinical experience in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), she also adopts other evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Mabel believes that everyone’s needs are varied, hence she would carefully select a therapeutic approach that best fits her clients’ needs.

Promoting mental wellness and resilience through media and education

An active voice in local media, Mabel has contributed to significant discussions on mental health and weight management, including commentaries on CNA and articles on post-COVID-19 anxiety management. Her work continues to impact the lives of many, fostering better mental health and well-being across various populations.
